Regram • @louisecoleshair_makeup Creating Juliette’s look was a collaborative process. I made mood boards for each element: hair style, cut/colour, tattoo shapes, make-up.

Her look needed to be practical and show her journey. We mapped out her body scars, different ages, time spent working in mechanical. Her hair is a deliberate departure from her look as a child. Taking it short and lifting the colour, in keeping with the experimental use of chemicals in the Down Deep.

Her Tattoo’s were the most enjoyable part of the process. We went through a few options. The line tattoo’s on her wrist and fingers are representative of rings and a bracelet and are a symbol of her young friendship with Shirley, they have the same. The big arm tattoo was very much a collaboration with @rebecca_ferguson , we both had a similar idea and ultimately drew the shape to fit Rebecca’s arm/Biscep. The weaving lines symbolising Rope/Wire and her working with machinery.

I accidentally came up with her hair style, the double up look was something that happened last minute in a fitting to get her hair back. We loved it and it became her style.
